Crestwood Schools Participate in Fire Prevention Week 2025

October has been busy for the Crestwood Fire Department. Earlier this month we observed Fire Prevention Week (October 5-11) by visiting our local schools and educating our youngest residents about fire safety. We were challenged a bit by inclement weather and busy call volume but a great time was had by all.

Crestwood Fire Wins Fundraiser Softball Tournament for Project Fire Buddies!

On Saturday, October 18, the Crestwood Fire Department participated in the Project Fire Buddies 16-inch softball tournament at Ozinga Field. They were joined by Chicago, Des Plaines, Oak Lawn, Tinley Park, Harvey, Roberts Park and Park Forest Fire Departments.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of George Hardwick, 82, of Crestwood. George passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025 surrounded by his children.
